Safety & Handling Declaration
General
Statement
Vessolyte vanadium electrolyte is non-flammable, chemically stable under recommended conditions, and manufactured in full compliance with EU regulatory frameworks including REACH and CLP. While safe when handled properly, the solution is classified as corrosive and requires care in transport, storage, and application.
All containers are delivered sealed, certified, and labeled according to EU hazardous materials transport regulations.
Appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) must be used during handling and transfer operations.
We strongly recommend following the guidelines below based on your use case.

Universal Safety Notes
- Non-flammable. Not a combustion hazard.
- Shelf life: 1–2 years (sealed, 10–25°C)
- SDS and handling certificate available on request
Recommended
Handling Guidelines
Grid-Scale Energy Use
Use enclosed pumping systems when transferring large volumes
Place electrolyte tanks on chemically resistant containment surfaces
Regularly inspect for corrosion or seal degradation
Ensure staff is trained in chemical spill response
VRFB Manufacturers
Integrate filling operations in ventilated, closed-loop environments
Calibrate dosing systems for 1.7 mol/L concentration and 3.5 valence
Prevent contamination from incompatible metals or cleaning agents
Document batch numbers for traceability and warranty claims
Battery Integrators & EPCs
Transport only in certified ADR containers for corrosive liquids
Avoid exposure to air during extended system commissioning
Ensure compatibility of piping, seals, and tanks with acidic solutions
Plan for neutralization/containment in case of spillage
R&D & Labs
Store small quantities in glass or HDPE lab bottles
Label with CAS numbers and hazard codes (H290, H302)
Work under chemical fume hood during preparation
Avoid prolonged exposure to air to maintain redox balance
